The protection and security of personal data is a high priority for us. Therefore, we strictly adhere to the rules of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). Below you will be informed about what kind of data is collected and for what purpose it is collected.
1. Data transmission/data logging
When visiting this site, the web server automatically records log files that cannot be assigned to a specific person. This data includes, for example, the browser type and version, operating system used, referrer URL (the previously visited page), IP address of the requesting computer, access date and time of the server request and the client's file request (file name and URL). This data is collected only for the purpose of statistical analysis. A transfer to third parties, for commercial or non-commercial purposes, does not take place.
2. Use of personal data
Personal data will only be collected or processed if you provide this information voluntarily, e.g. in the context of an inquiry. Unless there are necessary reasons in connection with a business transaction, you may at any time revoke the previously granted permission for your personal data storage with immediate effect in writing (e.g. by e-mail or fax). Your data will not be disclosed to third parties unless disclosure is required by law.
3. Information, modification and deletion of your data
In accordance with applicable law, you can ask us in writing at any time (e.g. at datenschutz(at)pom-consult.de) whether and which personal data we have stored about you. You will receive a corresponding message immediately. Your data will be deleted upon written request, unless storage is required by law.
4. Security of your data
Your personal data provided to us will be secured by taking all technical as well as organizational security measures so that they are inaccessible to unauthorized third parties. When sending very sensitive data or information, it is recommended to use the postal service, as complete data security cannot be guaranteed by e-mail.
5. Cookies
On some of our pages, we use so-called "session cookies" to make it easier for you to use our websites. These are small text files that are stored on your hard drive only for the duration of your visit to our website and, depending on the settings of your browser program, are deleted again when you exit the browser. These cookies do not retrieve any information stored about you on your hard drive and do not affect your PC or its files. Most browsers are set to accept cookies automatically. However, you can disable the storage of cookies or set your browser to notify you when cookies are sent.
6. Tracking pixel of the Verwertungsgesellschaft Wort (VG Wort)
For the remuneration of the so-called second rights
of (scientific) texts on some of our pages, which
are made available in electronic form on the
Internet, the accesses are determined on all
reportable essays/articles with the help of a
so-called counting pixel of VG Wort, Munich.
However, the IP address is not stored permanently.
Furthermore, there is no tracing of previous page
views and no data evaluation that exceeds the scope
necessary for counting the pixel-counts.
We use
so-called "session cookies" of VG Wort, Munich, to
measure accesses to texts in order to record the
copy probability. Session cookies are small units of
information that a provider stores in the RAM of the
visitor's computer. A randomly generated unique
identification number is stored in a session cookie.
In addition, a cookie contains information about its
origin and the storage period. Session cookies
cannot store any other data.
7. Use of Google AdSense
A. Some of our pages use Google AdSense, an online
advertising service provided by Google Inc.
("Google"). Google AdSense uses "cookies", which are
text files placed on your computer, to help the
website analyze how users use the site. Google
AdSense also uses so-called web beacons (invisible
graphics). Through these web beacons, information
such as visitor traffic on the pages of this offer
can be evaluated. The information generated by
cookies and web beacons about the use of this
website (including the IP address of users) and
delivery of advertising formats will be transmitted
to and stored by Google on servers in the United
States. This information may be passed on by Google
to contractual partners of Google. However, Google
will not merge your IP address with other data
stored by you.
B. Users can prevent the
installation of cookies from Google AdSense in
various ways:
(a) by adjusting the browser
software accordingly;
b) by deactivating Google's
interest-based ads;
c) by disabling the
interest-based ads of the providers that are part of
the self-regulatory campaign "About Ads";
d) by
permanent deactivation through a browser plug-in.
The settings under b) and c) are deleted when
cookies are deleted in the browser settings.
